New Leopard - what is this guy?

Snakemother Nov 06, 2003 03:08 PM

My daughter and I (we're beginners with 5 pet normal geckos) saw this guy at Petco today, and he was so unusual we had to get him (we got him for $25). He's actually alot brighter than this quick pic shows (his yellow just POPS, and the orange on his tail is much deeper - he's almost neon LOL!). Is he any special phase or anything?
Oh, my daughter's already named him Warlock.
Thanks!

He's a reduced pattern high yellow. The carrot on his tail isn't the true carrot-tail gene, some geckos just get orange.

Well sit right down my wicked son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am with my hand

He took his sister from his head
And then painted her on the sheets
And then rolled her up in grass and trees
And they kissed 'till they were dead

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am, with my hand

Well sit right down my evil son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am, with my hand

Hmm.. I wouldnt say carrottail, since the orange isn't solid and most leos have some orange on their tails anyways. Maybe a high yellow, almost hypo? "reduced spotting," is that the term?Either way, VERY pretty gecko!!

although I won't purchase form them. the petco in my area recieves high yellow tangeriene albino and patternless in thier normal leo orders and they sell them all for 29.99. of course they are underwight too young and overcrowded.
