I have a hovabator for my up coming eggs and I have a question. It comes with a reservoir for water to keep the eggs humid and a screen on top of the reservoir to put the eggs onto. Can I just put the eggs on top of this wire mesh screen or do I need something on top of the mess? I understand that the water will keep them humid but do I need any type of mixture to sit the eggs on?

I use the hovabator. I use a light grate (from a ceiling) to lift the eggs from any water. I also fill all the holes - the turbo model has holes - and fill the bottom with water.
