I've already started breeding for the '04 season already. I had one of my carrot tail females in with my ctxsht cross male. She was in there for about 2 weeks or so, maybe a bit longer, I'm not quite sure. Last night when I went to take her out, Houston got a little to frisky with her. He had taken a huge bite out of her tail.

I was a little upset about this, but its all part of breeding when the male nips the female.

So she is housed alone and I am putting neosporin on her tail to help it heal.

I would keep them seperate after breeding just so that the male doesn't bother the female. That way she doesn't have added stress on her. It'll be better that way.
