A new type of anerythristic Nicaraguan boa?

Chris_Ginkel Nov 06, 2003 10:44 PM

I am very excited about this female anerythristic. She is not a Type 2. I also have one of those. She is definately anerythristic and pure Nicaraguan. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for her. Thanks for looking, Chris

If it does not appear anerythristic in the picture it is due to my poor photography skills. I am very familiar with what an anerythristic boa is. It is a poor quality anerythristic. It does have browns just like many of the Columbians can have. There is not a single red or pink scale on the snake. The tail has no reddish overtones. I do as much research as possible on any animals I keep. I was taught genetics by Professor Gordon Schuett of Arizona State University. Is it genetic? Time will tell. All I know is that I like the the snake. I am by no means an expert and I always value the opinion of others. Chris, you live about two minutes away from me and I would gladly show you the snake in person rather than you having to make a judgement based on my poor photography skills. Thank you for your input. Chris Ginkel

I would love to see the animal in person, I obviously could be very wrong. However, from the picture....I still do not see it.

I am so sorry to tell you that your snake is most definetly NOT ANERY! You may want to take that up with the person who sold it to you as anery. These snakes tend to look greyish as babies, but your pictures shows alot of redish brown.....making this a nice but normal Nic. IMHO susan
