Just got a pair of azureus.

i just purchased a pair of azureus and now i am starting to get ready for them. i have a plastic box to quarantine them in but i don't know how long to do so; a month/two/three? i plan on putting the pair in with my other two adult male azureus. there is going to be some age difference, i am estimating at the least four to five months difference between the two i have now and the pair that are coming next week. while the pair is in quarantine i plan on taking my two males out of the tank also and redo the vive so that when they do all go back in they can start over territory wise.
Let me know if I am going in the right direction with this, and add what ever you think necessary.
Thanks in advance.

I would not put them with the others until they are all the same size. I lost one of my imitators putting it in with 2 older ones.

It's not so much the age of the frogs, but rather the size. A 2 to 3 month age difference isn't really much in terms of size. As long as all frogs in question are relatively the same size then it's fine. And, considering that the ratio is 3.1 there should be territorial fighting as males are generally peaceful towards each other....it's the females you gotta worry about. I do suggest that you quaruntine them for at least a month but even this isn't absolutely necessary and alot of people skip this if the source they are coming from is trustworthy and reputable. All in all, I don't see a problem with housing them all together. If it were me, I'd get another female from someone like Patrick Nabors (he sells sexed sub-adults). I hope this is helpful.
