baby iguana handling issues.

svinarsk Nov 07, 2003 02:14 AM

I recently got an iguana and he is 6 months old. I have had him for a week now and I have problems getting him out of his cage. I move towards him slowly and when I go to grab him he always runs away. The only time I can even remotely touch him is while he is asleep under his heat lamp. What can I do to better tame this little sucker?

Much thanks.

keep on doing this daily even if he runs away because then he should get used to you reaching in and out and another good bonding practice is to hold his favorite food right in front of his face with your hand this will develop trust between you and your iguana
