frog ate bark help

yesterday i was feeding my white's dumpy treefrog and when he grabbed the cricket he also ate a piece of the repti bark....it looks like i can still see the peice of bark near his mouth i was wondering if there is anything that i can do to help him out...

Unfortunately I don't have any advice to help get the bark from the frog. Someone else may be able to help there. But I can tell you that you'll want to change from the bark to a cocoa fiber substrate. Bed-a-Beast and Eco-Earth are 2 of the names it can be found under. It comes in a brick that you soak in water to expand. Once expanded it looks like dirt and 1 bick covers a 50 gallon tank with 1 inch. Frogs accidentally eating the substrate is what makes the Bed-A-Beast perfect. There is FAR LESS risk of impaction, plus live plants grow GREAT in it, it holds moisture better and it just looks nicer. You can even top it off with a live moss to keep the frog cleaner.

Good luck with your Frog, I hope he spits out the bark and doesn't end up with a fatal impaction.
