Hi, I may have to drive quite a distance to get my leo...I'm wondering how I could do it safely and what precautions would I have to take? The drive would be about 5 hours. Or can it even be done? Thanks.

I think your leo will be fine. They get shipped all the time, and I have a hard time believing that a FedEx journey is more comfortable than riding in your car.
Mine had a 2 hour ride home, and was fine. Tired, and happy to be in her new home, but fine. If it's coming from a show, they're often in little clear deli cups. Mine was in one with a folded paper towel on the bottom. I just put mine on the seat beside me and propped my pillow over half of it so she could hide if she wanted to (and she did want to hide). Other than that, I just didn't crank up the radio on the highway like I normally would.
Just make sure you don't cover the air holes!
I'm sure your leo will be fine and will be quite happy to curl up for a nap after a busy day.
