Corn Breeding

collard_ghost Nov 07, 2003 03:58 PM

I was wondering if anybody here has ever bred cornsnakes? If it was successful, what type of setup was used and if it was hard to accomplish?
I only have one corn so far and i'm contimplating on whether to get a 2nd and possibly breed them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't bred my corns yet but from what I've heard they are the easiest snakes to breed. I'm getting a female corn soon so in a couple years I'll probably breed mine.

Like a lot of things, breeding corns isn't particularly difficult once somebody tells you how to do it.

I've been successful using a day/night temperature cycle, a photoperiod matching the outdoors, and a winter brumation. Oh, yes, having a pair of healthy adult corn snakes helps. 8-) A good store of patience also helps.

Try searching both this forum and the old forum posts for "breeding". There should be a number of them. I know that I've posted more than once on the subject. Good luck.
