Check out Marc Staniszewski's site. Probably the best Mantella care sheets around.

There are two different species which go by the common name painted mantella - M. baroni and M. madagascariensis. Madagascariensis has red flash marks on the inner part of the knees. They also generally have a rounder shape and are less stream lined in appearence. Care for both species is similar to that of golden mantella frogs although I've read that they do best with higher humidity. Have a look at www.amphibiancare.com/frogs/goldenmantella.html The links at the bottom of the page should help you out too. Good luck,
