Mossman asked $7.5 for shipping a square foot of pillow moss. I ordered from an eBay seller who only charged $4.85 for shipping 2 LBs and that's actual cost & no handling fee. 2 LBs of moss are approx. 1.5 - 2 square foot (I threw few away because I didn't need that much, but still have aprox. 1.5 square foot left in tank).

Sounds like a good deal, but I'd rather pay a little more for the mossman, than someone unknown in the hobby on e-bay. Themossman is well known.

I would rather order from someone well known like kyle said because you dont know whether or not it will hold up in tropical conditions, or there might be harmful insects or pesticides.

I just signed up for an account w/ Fed Ex. I used to think there rates were much higher than the post office but I was wrong. It now costs me (and you) a heck of a lot less to ship stuff. The reason shipping was so much before was I was shipping priority mail instead of ground. it gets the moss to you much quicker but it is a lot more expensive.

I still have the priority option open if you prefer it but it is no longer the only way to go.

Thanks

I ordered from an eBay seller. It looks like the price she asks is a little higher, but if calculate total, it's actually cheaper if buy from her. She only charges actual shipping cost.

The buy it now price actually looks pretty cheap to me, depending on how many square feet are in a pound.

How long have you been using this moss? I'm curious as to how well it stands up to constant tropical conditions. I have a square foot of moss that Harry at Cloud Jungle Epiphytes collected for me in NC that is doing very well after a month. It really is the long term that matters, however. Thanks.

I just bought from her once and I am happy about it. It has been 2 months and they are doing great.

Bought frogs from a well known person once and that really scared me off, so I would never tried his anything else, no matter how well known its moss is.
