mammals have one pigment melan, while reptiles have 3 pigments
Albino leos are amelanistic, so they still have the other pigments.
hopethis helps

I mentioned in a post earlier todayt that leopard geckos (all reptiles?) have three skin pigments, black (melanin), yellow (xanthin), and red (still can't remember name of this one). When you take away the black (amelanism/albinism), you're left with the yellow, red and white (lack of pigment where there was going to be black).
