eskadol Nov 07, 2003 10:12 PM

Well I was wandering if there are any MORPHs of "Frog eyed Geckos" and some feedback on the species..

And are there any kind of MORPHs of Chondrodactylus angulifer angulifer.. and is there a more "common" name for them lol.. and also some feedback on this species please.

Thanks,
David Jones..

Never heard of morphs for Teratoscincus but there are a number of species in the genus. T.Roborowski are slick animals, the smallest, a pair can be kept in a 10 gal set up. Deep sand and lots of rocks are a must. They are little bulldozers, not particularly nocturnal and very active. Quite fun to watch.

Chondrodactylus A. Angulifer come in a supposed subspecies Chondrodactylus A. Namibensis, but I have yet to talk to anyone or see a picture that shows the difference between the two. Not really sure whether a taxonomic subspecies or regional pattern variation. Common names, Namibian sand gecko, bull dog gecko. Another digger that needs deep sand and a place to create a burrow. Not aggressive but packs a POWERFUL bite. When cornered or restrained, it will bite instead of struggle, beware. Another nice animal. I have a care sheet up on my WEB site.
