Uro "clicking"? Please help...

dragonmlv Nov 08, 2003 10:32 AM

Hi everyone,
Well, my two malis are getting along great (will have a pic soon) but this morning when I took Pumpkin out she was making little "clicking" sounds. I couldn't tell if it was when she breathed or not, so I don't know if it's a repiratory problem. I know the Russian Tortoise I just adopted does the same thing, only he bobs his head up and down when he does it. Someone on the Tortoise Forum said it could be a respiratory problem for him (the clicking), so I'm hoping it's not the same for the Mali. Anyone heard of this? I'm hoping it's not water in her lungs (as mentioned in the previous posts) because I did give her a bath, but it was very shallow. She splashed a bit, and sneezed (maybe she inhaled some?) I give my tortoise baths too, but he doesn't splash and the water isn't too high. I'm worried about both of them. I will be taking them to the vet soon, but does anyone here know what it could be, and what I can do? Thank you.

Hi,
An update on the "clicking." I took her back out this afternoon, after she had been basking in her light for awhile, and I didn't hear any clicking noise. So, I don't know if it will happen again, or if it's when she's cold. If anyone knows please tell me. Thanks
