According to Degenhardt, Painter, and Price (Amphibs and Repts of NM), there are no records of Hognosed Snakes in Catron County.

They are recorded from Grant County immediately to the south, and they aren't uncommon in the grasslands of Grant, Luna, Dona Ana and Hidalgo counties.
