Multiple morphs of Tincs?

rockrox83 Nov 08, 2003 01:08 PM

I have a question about keeping different morphs of tincs in the same enclosure. Is this practice alright. I know keeping different species together is done a lot (at least at zoos) but that doesn't mean it is the best thing to do. Anyone's opinions would be nice. These would be the same species just different morphs. Like a powder blue and a cobalt or something like that.

If the frogs are near maturity, then I strongly advise not doing so. True, they are the same species, but they are different morphs. 99.9999% of us froggers are strongly against hybrids and crossing morphs is no exception. Keeping them together as froglets/jvl's is fine if the tank size meets their comfort level and there isn't any food competition (which is a very common problem). Hope this helps.

The zoos throw out any and all eggs that occur in mixed tanks, if you are sure you have the heart to do that then you can keep them in the same tank. However it is best to seperate them.
