Capture the Sun Mercury Vapor bulb

micky-kennie Nov 08, 2003 01:21 PM

Hi! Has any one used these? Does Big Apple Herpetoligical(sp) have a warenty or guarentee on these? I was thinking of getting one and wanted to know any opinions first. Thanks!

Hi-

I have used all the major brands of 100w MV bulb. I have had different success with each brand, and each brand produces a different amount of heat and light. I have had many bulbs burn out from both T-rex and Big Apple, all were replaced with little or no problem. The only bulb I have not had a single problem with is the Zoomed MV bulb. The zoomed produce the least amount of heat and light compared to the other bulbs. The Big Apple produces the most heat and most light. When I say light I am talking about visible light not UVB light. Hope this helps!
