pic of a 2003 spottted female california kingsnake I am getting soon from Renegade Reptiles

I have a 2003 male spotted / striped california kingsnake and he did not have a mate so I thought I would get him one so I could breed him later on. I am getting this spotted 2003 female from Renegade Reptiles soon.

john

Bluescat.........besides riffing up some electric blues of my own, we have apparently the same taste in herps. I got a similar Cal King from Rick just about a month ago. Mine has more of the spots running accross the centerline of the back, whereas yours has very straight dashes that seem to run perfectly along the back. Interesting difference.......I wonder how the two types result ?? I wonder if they are brother/sister ??? Mine was born 7/22/03. Perhaps Rick could shed some light (or a knowledgeable breeder) ???

I'll try to figure out how to post a pic......never done it.

Yes..............we are bonding nicely !!! I really wanted her to get used to handling, and she's been great. The first few days she was a little skittish, but she took to handling right away. Except for sliming me, there's been almost no signs of stress, fear, biting..............just a little tail rattling when I move too fast.

The last 4 times I've handled her, I've come away "clean", so I'm excited at how she's doing.

I'm not sure about the sides........the black and white blend quite a bit in some areas so the "line" is not well defined. I think this was one of the last ones sold, and maybe not one of the best he's produced for that reason.

Nice snake man. They very well could be sisters. I will let you know what clutch numbers mine is when I get her. heres a pic of my 50-50 male 2003 california kingsnake that I reserved for pick up at the show in daytona. he also came from renegade along with a 2003 lavender albino male cali king, desert striped female cali king, reversed striped female cali king,
and a desinger snow male cali king. the 50-50 male is named after stevie ray vaughn.

Very nice, clean looking snake that one !!

I wish I could keep that many snakes, it was hard to get the "boss" to approve just one, since she really didn't know of my childhood snake keeping habit before we got married 15 years ago !!! Never came up until I got the urge again. Maybe this is my form of mid life crisis...............maybe I shoulda got a Corvette ???

Her problem is not so much with snakes though..............she is phobic about mice and rats !!! She insists I feed the snake only when she is not at home !!!

Can't live with em'.............Can't live with em' !!!!

I have friend that had some pet mice. She asked me what I fed my snakes I told her they eat mice she did not like it all.
heres a pic of my 2003 lavender albino male california kingnake.
hes named jimi after jimi hendrix. hes one of my favorites and so is stevie.

Interesting. I've run into alot of people out there who just can't get behind any pet that isn't furry and cute.

I woulda thought my wife would like snakes since they eat the mice she is so afraid of ??!!

Go figure.

She is slowly coming around though. I think she secretly thinks they are cool.
