Igor's cage is all wooden except for the top. That's made of plastic, and was the only way to look in without opening the door. Well, now there's a big window on the side and the door is clear too. I even painted the cage black. It looks great, but I don't think Igor likes it. I ended up covering up the windows with black cloth to give him his privacy back.

maybe i'm just imagining it.

you could pull the black cloth back a little at a time over several days. If he gets used to it being open more gradually maybe it won't be so much stress. Start with the front and then one side at a time.
