Hi, I'm new to this stuff and just got a Green Water Dragon. When we brought him home he had this spot on his side. Does it look bad. It's just a baby so I wanted to check this this out.

That just looks like part of his skin pigment...unless you notice it scabbing or bleeding or something unusual like that I wouldn't worry about it. Very green animals tend to have little brown spots like that sometimes, it's just skin...my chameleons have a few spots like that as well. I wouldn't be too concerned unless it starts developing into somthing abnormal...
