Hot Female?

Sypha May 30, 2003 06:54 PM

I'm on my third year of breeding leopard geckos and recently realized that one of my females(Baby) is rather vocal and attacks my, or anyone's finger when it comes too close. I am wondering if anyone out there has experience with 'hot females' at a 2-3 week stage and what their behaviour would be like. I must admit, it is cute, but from what I understand, Hot females do not make very good pets or breeders.

It has been proven that Hot Females are not overly aggressive and that they make fine breeders. It has also been proven that the only difference in hot females from other leos is that they grow slower. But all leos are different and you could just have an overly aggressive one.

I suppose that is so. Although it is a bit of a shame... She is pretty cute. I'll have to get a picture and post it sometime... Of course, all baby geckos are cute.

Thanks for the information. I did not hear about the 'Hot female' study... Guess I've been living under a rock(No pun intended).
