What kind of small incubator can i use?

leopardgex0203 Nov 09, 2003 08:51 AM

i am a small hobbyist breeder looking to expand a little and right now my negibor incubates my geckos eggs when they are laying. I was wondering if the poultry incubator that don't have anything like a turner or egg holders would be fine to use for the gecko eggs if its setup to incubate reptile eggs. 2004 will be my 3rd year of breeding leos and i really want to incubate my own leo eggs. i am just wondering the best small incubator would be. Thanks for any replies.

Well I use a chicken egg incubator I ordered from Rural King online it's a hova bator incubator (1602N) and it works great this is my first year of breeding and I've had 6 hatch so far and they are great, healthy, and blessed. It's kind of funny though one has 5 legs. I prefer using the Albey incubation method it works great I tried using vermiculite with another method of incubation the Albey method was much better for me and not messy at all. The Albey's "Too Cool" Reptiles link is at the top of the forum page not this page but where you see all of the posts. If you need it that is.

you should post a pic of it, I've never seen a five legged leo.
