This is true! It used to be vibrant when the old forums were around. This is so sad. My 2 Carpets are wonderful. One quesiton though...is it just me or do carpets "squeek"? Every time they struggle, they exhaust this whistling sound. Its higher pitched with the baby, and lower in pitch with the adult. So i know its not RI.

It's blowing bubbles or open mouth breathing. They make a whistle-hiss often.

I have a small female JCP and when I put her head to my ear, I occasionally hear squeeks and pops, real quiet. I had assumed it was a low grade RI. I have had her off substrate and at the high end of the heat spectrum for like 2 months and it hasn't changed a bit. No loss in appetite or vitality, so I guess that makes sense. They really squeek occasionally, huh? hmmmmm.

All carpets make that whistling or hissing sound. It's normal.
