Poopy question

Noodle_Boy Nov 09, 2003 02:22 PM

Well, my leo has been eating regularly now, and spending a LOT of time in his humid hide. I suspect that he is shedding. However, I also suspect that he is pooping in his humid hide, since hes been going to town on mealworms without a single poop in days. My question is, can he get sick from being in such a humid and confined area with his own poop? Also I've been trying to find an oppurtunity to check in his humid hide for proof of his poop, but I don't want to stress him by lifting the thing up while he's inside, since he's still adjusting to the new place and all. I plan on trying to check and clean out his humid hide of such fecal matter tonight if and when he leaves his hide, and I'm hoping I can just put the poop I find in a prefferable corner. I have heard some say they can somewhat train their leos to poop in a certain place like this, has anyone had any luck with that? Well that's all of my questions today. The end.

all of mine are trained now to do that, I just put out a tupaware lid and put the poop on and they just poop on their lids now. Its easier to clean and such. Even the baby does it.
