The obsoleta complex had never done much for me but a little over a year ago I decided to take the plunge. It was between hypo Everglades, white-sided Everglades, and amelanistic Yellows and I finally decided to get the yellows (did I choose correctly?
). Right now I have 2.2. One pair is from Dwight Good, one female is from a local breeder in Colorado, and the male pictured is a yearling from a guy in Florida. He is from a Bob Fengya amel, derived from the original Tampa stock, outcrossed to wild caught Jacksonville yellows to produce heterozygous animals, which were then recrossed. The Jacksonville yellows are rather "dirty" yellows that have both striping and retention of blotches into adulthood and increased melanin as they age. I think they have produced an interesting amel.
