Bearded Dragon

nchoochie Nov 09, 2003 06:58 PM

Hey yall. My dragon "Hoochie" is a little over a year old. She hasn't been very active here lately. All she has pretty much done is lay around on her heat rock, and she hasn't went potty in several days. I thought about takin her to the vet but I am not sure of one that really knows thier stuff about dragons. I am near Hickory, NC so if anyone has any advice for me I would appreciate it very much...You can also yell at me on yahoo messenger at nc_hoochie_27.......

could be going into brumation.
i'd also get rid of the heat rock. dragons can get their bellies burned by them.

Well some people tell me no heat rock and some tell me yes...so I put a towel over the rock so it doesn't get too hot on her tummy.....someone mentioned that she could have worms and/or could be dehydrated...I have never taken her to the vet so they have to have shots and stuff????

Just take a poop sample to your vet, he'll do a fecal and let you know what's in there.

No they don't need shots, etc. But you should get a fecal done. Some vets will let you just take a poop sample in and others will make you take the BD in for a check up first.
