Hi! I posted on here ages ago and am now back for a bit more help. I am the proud owner of three RES. Two female and one male (or at least that's what I think)! They're about two years old and average at about 3 inches in length. I was wondering if this is normal. Also, they don't have a very varied diet and I was wondering if you all could give some suggestions based on the RES age and personal experiences. Apart from that the turtles seem to be a bit diferent in manner from the other RES mentioned on the site. They are relatively calm and well-mannered towards each other. they have never fought and seem to get along extremely well. Is this possibly because they have been together since hatchlings? When should I start thinking about the mating issues with the RES? Have people had good experiences with mating them with little difficulty or should I refine them to separate areas when this occurs?
One last thing, I finally found what looked to be a good place for inexpensive tanks - www.glasscages.com. Yes, the name is slightly misleading, but the details on the site are good. Has anyone had experience with them? Are they a good investment?
