I have been raising a young tiger salamander for the last few months. He seems to prefer his water dish to his dirt place. Every once and a while he curls up in the corner of the aquarium. This worries me. Should it?

What are your temperatures and what kind of soil are you using? Does he have any kind of hiding spots? It's important that he has a couple or few hiding spots to feel secure in. Maybe a hide log, driftwood, rocks to burrow under??? Are you keeping the soil kind of moist at least on one end of the enclosure?...just a couple of ideas for you.
