Those are really interesting looking. I wonder if some of the dark is from stressing out? I have seen it in other lizards but not ctenos.KB
No I don't think so. In the sun light the males were a light blue over the white with the heads and legs a dark blue. The tails were black and white rings.
I actually have a pair of those. There is also a morph or unknown subspecies found more south 50 miles inland from Tasco that has similar color but is completely black, but morphologically looks like a similis. I have two pairs of these and have dubbed them "Lost valley Iguana"
