Cleaning cages...

trinacliff Nov 09, 2003 07:18 PM

How often do you all clean your cham enclosures? What is the best way of doing this? Here are the problems I have...removing the tree is not a biggie, as it is really just up in the middle of a bunch of bendavines that are tied to the side of the enclosure. However, taking out the vines and scrubbing them is going to make it very difficult to get everything in the right place again...so do you have another way of cleaning the cage or do you just try to set it up similar??

I was thinking that I could just take the ficus out and remove the bottom of the cage and clean the other vines while still attached inside the cage. Anyone know the best/easiest way?

Thanks
Kristen

this is how I do it
I leave the vines in the cage and use a scrub brush to clean them. I take out the waterfall and plants. I clean the poop off the leaves and bottom, and the waterfall every other day and I give it all a good scrubbing once a month.
