What To Get

LizzardHands May 30, 2003 08:17 PM

Hello, I was recently considering getting a House Gecko for a pet until I discovered that they are known for not liking to be handled. I still want to get a reptile, preferably something small to medium size, fairly affordable and reasonably easy to maintain; but I love to be able to handle my pets. I just can't form an attachment to them if I can't have contact with them. Can anyone suggest a reptile that would fit my criteria?

I think you should get either a Leopard Gecko or a Bearded Dragon. If you get normal morphs they aren't too expensive. They are both fairly easy to take care of and can be handled with no problems. Hope this helped.

I have the same "criteria" as original poster and had been thinking of a leopard gecko but read that they do not like to be handled. Are they as fast as others - thus worrying about escape

thanks
