hatchling weight

How much do RES's weigh when they just come out of the egg? I'm trying to extrapolate my turtle's age based on their growth curve, and knowing the average newborn weight would help me solve the equation. Thanks.

Hatchling RES can weigh between about 4 and 9 grams at hatching. The mean is somewhere around 6 grams.

Thanks for the info! The range is similar to what I found online. It's good to confirm it. Since I weigh my turtles periodically I could establish a growth curve and extrapolate back in time to find out how long ago they were at 6 grams. Of course this assumes that they grew at the same rate before I got them as this past 8 months under my care.
