Hopefully you haven't yet bought the gigas you mentioned you'd located. I highly encourage you to get a captive-bred BTS and not an import as the gigas is sure to be. For what it's worth, I've always only kept captive-bred animals and truly never had any health problems with them. I attribute it all to their origin. If that's not enough reason, think of the unscrupulous trade that buyers keep funding when they buy animals that are almost without exception imported in deplorable conditions. You may already know all of this, but I just think it is always worth pointing out.
Captive-bred animals are always preferable to wild-caught ones for many reasons, and I highly recommend you opt for a BTS that was bred by someone in the States versus one that came from overseas.
