A little hypo baby from this year...

jeph Nov 10, 2003 12:52 PM

Hi,
Heres one of the baby hypos i produced this year from my male hypo x het-hypo female. The father was a sib to the real nice vanishing pattern hypo that John Manser produced in '99. Out of 7 eggs, there was only 2 hypos and 5 hets, no vanishing patterns, all had pretty much uniform banding. This hypo had that lavender color bordering the dark rings. Hes in La. now, but I wanted to show a pic of him, as he was the nicest in the clutch. there was also a neat looking het-female, she was pretty much a runt, a little smaller than the others, but only had 12 triads to the vent.

Cool little hypo jeff.
Its funny that you say you didn't get any vanishing out of there.I also have a hypo snake from john that is a direct sibling to his awesome stuff and I have yet to see anything more than average from him or the two pairs of hets I have????

I don't think that anybody has produced nice vanishings from that line since?I could be wrong but I havn't seen any?

later.p.s. that albino is super nice.

Hi Shannon,
Yeah, they were all just nice normal banded hondos. Who knows, it could of been just a lucky thing or something. It seems alot of hypo breedings produce vanishing pattern hondos, but also they'll be some normal ones int he clutches it seems. Like Guy Clark in Moreno Valley, that vanishing pattern one he has, his breeders are normal looking yet they produced some super nice vanishing pattern ones. And I saw pics of the adults that proudced that super hypo-(thats a funny name) that Mike Falcon did, and they arent vanishing pattern, just nice hypos. So who knows. Talk to you later man,
Jeff
