Adoption

birddog5151 May 30, 2003 09:14 PM

I've been wondering if anyone has tried adoption. Looking through the adoption page above Mid Michigan Reptile Rescue has a 2 foot red tegu. Adoption fee is $40.00. The tegu appeared healthy. It had problems with shedding and was missing some toes. Seems to me that it would make a good addition to a collection. I have two tegus and at least for now don't want more. Anyone want to give it a go????

I have just adopted a blue female from them. It is a awsome animal.Jane post here all the time (jiffy pop). They take very good care of there animals , and I recomend calling her . I had originally asked about the tegu your talking about. She is suppose to be a very good animal with a good temperment . Thanks Russ

Thanks for the kind words, Russ. We do the best that we can for any animal that comes thru here, be it Tegu, Iguana, Nile Monitor, ATB, Gator, whatever. The Red Tegu in question is already spoken for. She will be travelling to Wyoming along with a Spinytail Iguana. Her new owner does lots of educational presentations, including working with hots. She'll be a good presentation animal. Watch the website....I think we'll be placing another Blue up sometime in the near future. This one is not as pretty as the one Russ adopted...he has some scarring on his neck, but a nice animal just the same.
