RES and feeder goldfish questions.

kinok1 Nov 10, 2003 02:36 PM

I have two fairly young RES. Each are about 2 inches in length. My question is, when is it appropriate to introduce feeder goldfish into their diet?

Thanks

You can do it at any time if the fish are small enough. Baby sliders are very carnivorous, much more than the adults. Guppies might work also if the babies are that small, but you may have to refrigerate them to slow them down so the turtles can catch them. Raw liver is good, also.

I don't know what type of enclosure you have them in, but if they are in a small tank, the fish being eaten and torn apart will pollute the water pretty quickly so you must change it often.
