Sad Day in the Far North

klank4d Nov 10, 2003 05:09 PM

I awoke this morning to find that my 13 and a half feet, 80 lbs., burm had died. She seemed perfectly normal last night as I changed her substrate. She was active and curious. No sign of RI. No blood or mucuous from the nose or mouth. There were two tight coils in the back half and some discharge from the cloaca. I will get a necropsy done.

I put my male albino labyrinth in with her a few weeks ago while cleaning his cage and it was quite evident that breeding, which was planned for later this month, would have been successful.

Goodbye Rose, you were a joy to keep.

` I've always looked forward to your pix, especially of her. That big girl obviously had a personality to match her beauty. I'm sorry for your loss. I will miss her, too.
