denial Nov 10, 2003 05:30 PM

i am keeping a 1 yr old uromastyx hardwicki also know as dwarf indian. Its now only 5" or so and weighs 60g, is it ok ? i am still wondering if the size is correct. He has a very bad feeding habits, he will only eat the food from the substrate which is sand, or else he can't be bothered with anything thats in the bowl. Still searching for a girl girl for my guy, indian uro is very hard to find in my place.
My uro site.

Try changing the level at which you offer the food items.
I found that some of my animals like to actually take food items from a higher level. i.e. a rock, branch, etc. The other thing, and certainly not a staple food item is to offer mealworms. I have a 7"TTL Hardwicki, who has completely gone into brumation. He is a good eater-but for the longest time would only eat mealworms. His favorite now is radiccio....remember cut the pieces very small...
good luck,
Ed
