Dried-up Salads

svinarsk Nov 10, 2003 07:40 PM

My baby 6 month old ig is not eating when I put out a fresh salad. He always eats at odd times of the night when the salad is already dried up from my ceramic heat lamp. Is there a way I can make sure he eats the fresh veggies I provide him?

Much thanks.

try putting the fresh food in first thing in the morning...it's better for him anyhow because he has all day while laying in the heat to digest...don't feed him at night just in the morning and see if that helps.....

Hi,

When exactly are you giving him the food? From your description, it sounds like you're giving it to him early and it is sitting there all day until he finally eats it at the end of the day. Is that the case?

If your environment and temperature are adequate, a baby iguana should eagerly accept the food soon after you give it to him. Please give us more details on your set up and how/what you are feeding him. It would help us help you and your ig better!
