I found a little (about 4 inches from head to tail) ground skink today that I think the dog got to. He seems ok, but I really like his colors and I was wondering if they are hard to keep. How big do they get and what do they eat. Any info will help.

4 inches is probably as large as he will get.they need small insects.keep them on potting soil with some patches of damp moss in areas.mist the cage one or twice a day.and leave a small water dish in the aqaurium. One thing some people dont know about these skinks is they have a clear eyelid witch they use when they are escaping predators and they choose to jump into a stream or water.I hope this helps.
