rats or mice?

ballyhoo1887 Nov 10, 2003 09:02 PM

Hey. I've got another feeding question. I was just going to rodentpro.com to stock up on more frozen rodents, and I wasn't sure whether I should buy mice or rat fuzzies/pups for my boa. She's only a few weeks old, and so far she's had two meals of weanling mice. I have read that rats are better for boas, and that they are a lot less likley to be regurgitated. Apparently mice are too hairy and not as meaty as rats of the same size. Should I buy a bag of weanling mice or a bag of rat fuzzies? Thanks in advance.

I would get a bag of rat pinks for a boa that is only a few weeks old. Babies have sensitiev stomaches. The pinky rats will be easier to digest for the baby boa and they should be the appropriate size for a baby boa.
