question for xelda

jt101 Nov 10, 2003 09:44 PM

Xelda,
I am relatively new to the forums and drop in from time to time to read a few posts. I do have a question specifically directed at you, though. This may have already been answered in the past as I only sporadically peruse this forum. (I can't imagine that I'd be the only one asking this) So, my big question is.....umm.. what exactly _is_ that thing that I am assuming you are holding in the photo at the end of your messages? It's one of those images that is so deeply disturbing I won't have any peace until I find out. I may be a novice herper but I'm fairly sure that is not some new leo strain. Fruit bat? Mutant pig cadaver? It's not one of those hairless egyptian cat things, is it? Is it a living creature or a beanie baby reject? You have no idea how that thing always makes me pause when I see it. Please enlighten me. It would be greatly appreciated.

Come on now, don't be rude. I thought it was a bat when I first saw it too, lol. Then after a while I figured it was a dog. and a very cute one at that!

Yeah, that's my dog when she was a small puppy. We think she is a boxer-sharpei mix, but we're not sure. She does look like a big bat in person. Cutest little thing.

What, sun bears? They live all over eastern Asia, and some live in Malaysia.
