Running leapord tort?

Gargoyle420 Nov 10, 2003 11:53 PM

My leapord tortiose is acting crazy. He is just running from point A to point B.Im not sure of the sex but he/she is about 5 inches long now.Ive never seen the poor guy so worked up.Nothing in his habitat has changed nor have the temps or diet.Torty is eating fine and has perfect stools.Even at nite i can hear him charging around his cage like a hellbent pitbull. Is this adolescence starting or should i be worried?Thank you for your answers...Paul..

I've got a couple individuals of different species and I call it 'the tortoise with a mission' behavior. Females will do this when they are ready to nest. Males will do this when they are frisky and others will do this for who knows what reason. I've never worried about it but I do stop and watch when I see an animal doing it.
