Is it true tha if you leave the crickets in the tank with your gecko they will nibble on the gecko?

I've heard that if you put too many crickets in with your geckos that they could actually kill the geck. Dunno how true that is, but I do know that you should take the crickets out after your gecks are done feeding, so that the cricks won't annoy them.
