1/2" mesh versus 1/4" mesh for rats and mice...

uf_g8or Nov 11, 2003 11:03 AM

Has anyone ever used 1/2" mesh for mice? I know that it is usually the standard to use 1/4" but I have room in my rat rack and was going to put mice in there but wanted to know if anyone used 1/2" mesh with mice and if they had any problems?

Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thank you

you will have TONS of escapee's if you use 1/2" mesh..

1/2" mesh is the perfect size for litter hoppers to fly right thru it like its not even there!

1/4" for mice... 1/2" for rats
