I am going to say that mealworms are definetly cheaper, plus you can breed your own and never have to pay for mealworms again. I have been breeding my own mealworms now for almost 3 year, and only twice have I had to buy more mealworms since all mine were eaten up by all my leos. It really saves you money.

A scale and a digi thermometer you can find at walmart.

Vermiculite you can find at your local garden store or also at Walmart in the garden section.

For a UTH, go to www.thatpetplace.com Quality stuff, but great prices you can afford! You wont be able to find prices like that any place else.

A hovabator can be bought at Fleet Farm for $30

Containers to keep your eggs in can be bought at walmart for 88 cents.

Basically most of the stuff you can find right at Walmart for cheap. All you have to do is look around.
