Retic Temperment

rugha Nov 11, 2003 11:41 AM

I just purchased a gorgeos 9 footer plus female Tiger. So far she is as tame as a puppy dog. She is curious and likes to move around. I am just wondering what steps I can take to keep her temperment tame as tame as it is now, especially when she gets much bigger.

Thanks for your help.

Just keep loving her and feeding her...

It's also important that you make the distinction between you reaching in to play with her or you reacing in with a rabbit. Try feeding from different doors, rubbing her with a hook first, and interacting with her consistently without food-these will all help her understand the difference between feeding and play time.

Also, if she ever catches on that she can bite, urinate, or defecate on you to get you to put her down, you might be surprised at how quick the learing curve could be.

Bottom line: Interact with her a lot without food and don't get discouraged if she tries one of her "tricks".
