Exo Terra waterfall experience

JadeFox Nov 11, 2003 02:06 PM

I moved it from my desk to the terrarium of running tree frogs. While it worked fine on my desk, for some reason it LEAKED in the terrarium. I seen another post of a similar experience.

No matter what I tried, it would still leak.

And it is a ROYAL PAIN--and let me underscore ROYAL PAIN--to put the Exo Terra Repti Flo 250 on the waterfall plastic pipe inside it.

It would obviously work great in a semiaquatic setup--but not on dry land.

So I spent $30 on a waterfall for nothing. Ohh well live and learn. It's now in the garage collecting dust, but I do like the pump (!!!!SOLD SEPARATELY!!!!) and made a simple waterfall with a shallow plastic container, a short piece of tubing, and a few river rocks. Makes a nice splish-splash noise. And I put some nylon netting around the pump to keep the dirt out of the engine.

Thank you folks for your responses and experiences.

Yours leaked too huh? Try setting it up on your desk again and seeing if it leaks. There may be a chance that some substrate form the terrarium was wicking the water out of the fountain. Good luck.
