boy or girl?

Here's a picture of my two turtles' tails. They're both about 2.5 inches long and 14 months old.

As I said in my prior post, they are a little young to sex for
sure and it is difficult to tell where the cloaca is in these
pictures. If the cloaca (opening) is at the base, level
with the back of the shell it is a female. If it is further
toward the end of the tail it is a male. I thought from your
prior post of the turtles back end it looks to be a male. But
after seeing these pictures they appear to be female. I am
just guessing though where the opening is. Can you tell me
specifically? Sorry, I just don't want to tell you wrong

Here's the picture again with arrows. I've never seen a clear opening on Guava's tail; it seems to be covered by skin. So I'm pointing to what I think is the opening to the best of my ability. On the other hand it's pretty easy to see Kiwi's. Don't worry if you can't identify their sexes. I'll just have to wait longer. Thanks for the help!
