I don't go off topic too much, but here is my new sweetie...

had to show off my new Hummer H2, if you're gonna buy
a bear, might as well be a grizzly! lol! I think Teddy can
walk under this without flipping it over This thing is
great, I'm looking down into Suburbans! lol!

Thankfully today's Veteran's day giving me the first day
off in 15 in a row. Normally not that busy as a city
inspector but sometimes that's how it is. Trying to read up
on the posts.

Tortoisehead - I did read your thread, and I understand where
you are coming from. You and I will however never agree on
almost anything as you are an admitted evolutionist and I'm
a 100% creationist having attended Bible college for a full
year after engineering college just because I wanted to. I did
my biggest report papers on animals and hibernation, migration
or extinction and animal behavior in the Ark. Obviously this
isn't the place to discuss this as there are plenty of forums
that have this as a topic. This is just a general tortoise
forum and I basically share how I have taken care of mine.
It just gives people different opinions to read on animal care
and feeding (Teddy's not really a greedy non-stop eater though.)

Take care everybody!

I just couldn't resist...

...If I can make someone's day just a little more surreal, then I consider it a GOOD day. lol

"Animal behavior on the ark," huh? Oh boy, I have had many discussions about exactly that with people over the years. Just a couple of months ago I got into an argument about it on the Yahoo message boards that I post on semi-regularly. The guy was livid because I kept bringing things up that simply could not have been. Like hummingbirds, which can't live in a cage for more that a couple of days. How did they survive? Don't even get me started on the sheer impossibility of collecting 2 of every single species on earth. Knowing what I do about animals, I feel I knocked his block off in the argument.

Anyway, like you said, this is not the place for such discussions, it's for tortoise talk. I respect people who are religious, even if I disagree with them. I understand where you are coming from as well.

PS- I never "admitted" to being an evolutionist, but I do find it to be a very interesting and plausable theory. Of course, it doesn't really explain how life STARTED.
